Act Polishing / Show Critiques: Detailed Feedback to Refine, Tighten, and Elevate Your Show

Already have a show on its feet, but something still feels… off? Whether your pacing is dragging, your punchlines aren’t landing, or your blocking feels clunky, this intensive workshop is designed to help you take a solid act and make it shine!

In this focused critique session, each participant submits a video of a full show in advance. During class, we’ll review select moments from each performance and provide targeted, actionable feedback on what’s working and what’s holding the show back. This is a collaborative, high level coaching environment, and every performer gets dedicated one on one time while the rest of the class observes and learns from the process.

In this workshop, we will explore:

-Pacing issues (too rushed? dragging?)
-Transitions between routines, scenes, or jokes
-Audience connection and engagement
-Blocking and stage movement (is it intentional and effective?)
-Strength of your opening and closing moments
-Timing of your hat pass or finale
-Missed laugh beats, unclear setups, or muddled messaging
-Opportunities for stronger physicality, clarity, or impact

This is the space for experienced performers ready to fine-tune their craft. Whether you’re preparing for an audition, aiming for bigger contracts, or just want to tighten your act to make it more consistent and compelling—this workshop is for you.

This high level workshop is ideal for working performers who already have a full-length show and want coaching to smooth out the rough edges, strengthen key moments, and increase overall impact. Class size is limited to 5 participants, roughly a 3 hour class, $150 per person.

Required homework: Each attendee must send in a pre-recorded video of a complete show a week prior to the workshop. (Phone recordings are fine as long as we can hear and see clearly.) This will be a group setting with focused feedback for each participant; discussion is constructive, honest, and always in service of making your show better.
