In this breath taking colonial era city, we will enjoy delicious food hand prepared by locals, explore the nearby mercados, delight in the beauty of nature, experience first hand stunning sacred spaces and rituals, discover the fascinating history behind the revolution, and learn how this became the most LGBTQ+ friendly community in all of Mexico! All of this and more for less than $3,000!

Itinerary:
- Day 1: Fly into Queretaro, where shuttles await to transport us 45 minutes through Mexico’s beautiful central highlands to San Miguel de Allende! The afternoon holds the opportunity for a 2 hour long walking tour of the Centro visiting the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel and highlighting the history of San Miguel and its roots in Mexican history from the colonial era onward, followed by a welcome dinner all together. Our first evening features La Limpia (a cleansing ceremony) with our local guide Dante, with rest and relaxation to follow!
- Day 2: Delve deeper into the local history with tours of the nearby Museo Historico Casa de Allende (the Historical Museum House of Allende), where we learn who was the initial instigator of the Mexican Revolution with interesting insights into colonial architecture as well as well preserved artifacts from the Revolution. We will also visit the Casa de Cultura Banamex, featuring a beautiful collection of art as well as history of one of the leading families in the area who helped shape the town of San Miguel. Finally, we will explore the Museo La Esquina del Juguete popular Mexicano.
- Day 3: Happy Valentine’s Day! To set your heart aflutter, we travel to the awe inspiring sights of thousands of butterflies wintering in the magnificent pine forests only a few hours from where we are based in San Miguel. Our full day excursion will include lunch and of course, unforgettable memories!
- Day 4: Make sure to have booked your personal tarot appointment with Dante sometime throughout the day! We leave at 10 AM for nearby sacred hot springs and pool complex where you have your choice of different temperature springs and pools, as well as a variety of food options for lunch! At 2 PM we travel to the fascinating historic Antiguo Templo de San Francisco de Asis, with food and shopping options close by in the mercado. At 4 PM we head back to our resort, where you can schedule tarot appointments and eat an early dinner before Dante leads us in an evening cacao ceremony (please do not eat two hours before the ceremony begins)!
- Day 5: Parting is such sweet sorrow! We will have a farewell breakfast all together before we go our separate ways! Depending upon your departure time, additional shopping in the nearby mercado for trinkets and treasures to take back home might be on your list before catching the shuttle back to Queretaro. We’ll see ya down the road, folks!
